Visual Studio provides the most powerful and feature complete development environment, bar none. Its complexity is intimidating and the framework it's built on presents challenges akin to moving mountains just to make the slightest change to any of its components. It takes conviction, endurance and an ability to understand complex systems and business models to work effectively. I would learn a knew breed of consumer, a better understanding of development practices and face process challenges more difficult than any other product space I've worked on.
